Synchronizing Meeting Maker with PalmThis is a featured page


If Meeting Maker does not synchronize properly with a Palm device, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Palm Desktop software.

1. Uninstall Palm OS
2. Uninstall Meeting Maker.
3. Go to start run.
4. Enter “regedit”.
5. Under HKEY_Current_User > Software, delete all instances of “Palm”.
6. Under HKEY_Local_Machine > Software, delete any instances of “Palm”.
7. Reinstall Palm OS.
8. Reinstall Meeting Maker.
9. Meeting Maker will prompt if you want to install three conduits:

Meeting Maker Date Book
Meeting Maker To Do
Meeting Maker Address

Let the user decide what is needed.

When you enable the Meeting Maker conduits, they will conflict with the
Palm Desktop conduits. If Palm Desktop does not detect this automatically and disable them, you will need to manually disable the Palm conduits – see instructions below).

10. Right-click on the Palm Sync Manager on the System Task Tray.
11. Choose “Custom ...”
12. Highlight Meeting Maker Date Book.
13. Click on “Change” button.
14. Enter USFconnect username. Enter Meeting Maker password.

Server = ITS MM Server
Protocol = TCP/IP

Make sure the time zone is USA Pacific.

15. Under Action, choose “Synchronize the file”.
16. Press OK.

The info will self-populate to other Meeting Maker conduits.

To disable Palm conduits:
1. Highlight one of the Palm conduits, like “Calendar”.
2. Click on the Change button.
3. A window called “Change Hotsyn Actions” will open.
4. Choose “Do nothing” and check “Set as default”.
5. Press “OK” to close.
6. Press Done to save.
7. Close and reopen the sync manager.
