Connecting 2 Macs
Turn off the power, boot client, hold down T key and boot host as FireWire
File system repair
Restart and hold down Apple-S to boot into single-user mode
Force-quit applications
Apple + Option (alt) + esc
Resetting PRAM (if OS does not load)
Reset, wait for first chime and then hold down Apple+Option+P+R, hold down for 3 or 4 chimes and then let go.
