How can I retrieve submitted assignments? This is a featured page

When students have submitted assignments, they will show up in the Gradebook and you can download them from there individually or all at one time.
  1. Go to Control Panel > Gradebook and you will see the assignment as a column heading and an ! next to each student who has submitted a paper. The ! means the item needs grading.
  2. To download the items individually, click the ! and then click View at the right of the screen.
  3. To bulk download the items to your hard drive, click on the item title in the column heading to go to the Items Options list and click Item Download.
  4. This will bring up a list of all students and will indicate when items were submitted and which ones need grading.
  5. Check all the students whose assignments you want to download and click Submit. (This will zip your papers up into a single zip file.)
  6. You will be prompted to download the file by clicking on the link and when you do this you may be asked to save the file on your hard drive. If so, save the file into a folder that you create to hold all the papers for a particular assignment.
  7. If you are taken directly into WinZip, click the File Menu and select Copy Archive to save the file to your hard drive.
  8. Once the file is downloaded, navigate to the folder where you saved the file and double-click on the icon.
  9. WinZip will launch and you will see a list of the files in the zip file. Click Extract and then navigate to the folder you created to hold the papers. Click the Extract Button.
  10. Close the WinZip Window.
  11. You may now go to the folder and view your papers.

NOTE
: For each paper there will be two files. The .txt file will show you the time the paper was submitted and any comments that the student submitted along with the paper. The .doc or other file will be the document itself. Note that the student login and assignment name are appended to all documents.
