Dreamweaver MX 2004

1. Open Dreamweaver.
2. From the Site menu at the top, select Manage Sites. The Manage Site dialog window will appear.
3. Click the New button and select Site. The Site Definition window for the unnamed site will appear.
4. In the Site name field, type a name for your site. Use the same name as the project that you logged into.
5. Select No for “Do you want to work with a server technology …?”
6. Keep the recommended choice for “How do you want to work with your files during development?”
7. In the “Where on your computer do you want to store your files” field, browse for the Work folder on your C drive.
8. Choose None for “How do you connect to your remote server?”
9. Click Done, and Done again.

Dreamweaver 8

1. Open Dreamweaver.
2. From the Site menu at the top, select New Site. The Site Definition window for the unnamed site will appear.

Note: Use the same name as the project that you logged into. You can leave “HTTP address” blank at this time.
4. Select No for “Do you want to work with a server technology …?”
5. Keep the recommended choice for “How do you want to work with your files during development?”
6. In the “Where on your computer do you want to store your files” field, browse for the Work folder on your C drive.
7. Choose None for “How do you connect to your remote server?”
8. Click Done.
