There are three types of default folders in USFfiles, public, private and web. Files that you do not intend to share should be uploaded to your private folder. Faculty should be very careful not to upload confidential student information to public or www folders.

Private folder - can be accessed only by you unless you change their permissions.
Public folder - can be viewed by anyone with a USFfiles account (except alumni).
www folder - can be viewed by anyone.
